Privacy at MSCM
This policy describes how MSCM handles personal information across the community website and member services.
Overview
MRO Supply Chain Matters (MSCM) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information when you visit the MSCM website, create an MSCM community account, subscribe to the MSCM Executive Report, submit forms, download member resources, join the benchmark waitlist, or register for events.
MSCM is operated for the IBM Maximo supply chain professional community. We collect only the information needed to run the community, respond to requests, deliver member services, and improve the site experience.
Information we collect
Account and profile information: when you join MSCM, we collect information such as your name, work email, job title, organization, LinkedIn profile URL, and areas of interest you choose to share on your member profile.
Form submissions: when you contact MSCM, subscribe to the MSCM Executive Report, express conference sponsorship or speaker interest, or apply for Advisory Council consideration, we collect the details you submit in those forms.
Member activity: when you download gated presentations or white papers, join the benchmark waitlist, or register for webinars, roundtables, or conference programs, we may record that activity to operate member services and improve community offerings.
Technical information: we may collect standard website data such as browser type, device information, IP address, pages visited, and referral source for security, troubleshooting, and aggregated analytics.
How we use information
We use personal information to create and manage MSCM community accounts, display member profiles, deliver requested resources, respond to enquiries, process event registrations, operate the benchmark waitlist, send community communications you opt into, and maintain site security.
We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand community interests, improve MSCM programming, and report on benchmark trends when the program launches, without identifying individual members.
We do not sell personal information.
Community membership
MSCM membership requires a valid work email and account credentials that you keep secure. Your profile information is visible only in your member hub.
You can update your profile fields, including name, title, organization, LinkedIn URL, and areas of interest, through your member profile settings after signing in.
Newsletter and marketing communications
The MSCM Executive Report is an opt-in email program. When you subscribe, we collect your contact details and frequency preference so we can send the report and related MSCM updates according to your selection.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing from marketing communications does not automatically delete your MSCM community account.
Contact and application forms
Information submitted through MSCM contact, sponsorship, speaker, and Advisory Council forms is used to respond to your request, evaluate partnership or programming opportunities, and maintain an internal record of community enquiries.
Please do not submit confidential employer information or sensitive personal data unless it is necessary for your request.
Resource downloads and benchmark waitlist
Some presentations, white papers, and other resources require MSCM membership before download. We use membership status to control access and may log download activity for operational and security purposes.
Benchmark waitlist signups are stored to notify you when early access opens. When the benchmark launches, responses will be used to provide assessment results and aggregated community insights. Individual benchmark responses will not be published as identifiable member results unless you explicitly choose to share them.
Service providers and Wix
MSCM uses Wix as a core platform provider for website infrastructure, member authentication, content management, form storage, contact management, and related backend services. Personal information you provide may be processed and stored through Wix systems subject to Wix’s own terms and security practices.
We may also use additional service providers for email delivery, analytics, hosting, or event operations. These providers may access personal information only as needed to perform services for MSCM and subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations.
Cookies and similar technologies
The site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential functionality such as session management, sign-in state, security, and preference storage. We may also use aggregated analytics to understand how the site is used.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may limit account access or member features.
Data retention and security
We retain personal information for as long as needed to operate MSCM, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms. Retention periods may differ depending on whether information relates to an active member account, a form submission, or an email subscription.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain uses of your personal information, or to object to certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
